SPORTSMANSHIP
At the core of every great ride is good sportsmanship. Whether you’re racing to the finish line, tackling a poker run, or exploring trails with friends, how we treat each other shapes the experience for everyone. By embracing these principles, we can keep our events safe, fun, and welcoming for riders of all skill levels.
BE COURTEOUS
Your actions and words shape the future of our sport. Keep all interactions, whether on or off the track, civil and respectful. Good sportsmanship is not just encouraged—it’s required.
RIDE WITHIN YOUR LIMITS
Your safety comes first. Always ride within your abilities and stay in control of your bike. Remember, riding doesn’t pay the bills—but it can create them if you take unnecessary risks.
STAY IN CONTROL
While competition is fierce, safety is paramount. Keep your bike under control at all times to ensure the well-being of those around you. Winning isn’t worth putting others at risk.
PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT
Many of our events don’t have on-site garbage disposal. Please take responsibility for your waste and leave the area cleaner than you found it.
RESPECT FELLOW RIDERS
The rider you pass today may be the one helping you tomorrow. Treat everyone on the track with kindness and respect—you’d want the same if the roles were reversed.
KEEP IT FAMILY-FRIENDLY
Kids are the future of our sport. Help us create a welcoming environment by keeping your language and conduct appropriate for all ages, whether in the pits or around the campfire.
WEAR YOUR HELMET
Safety first, always. Helmets are mandatory anytime you’re on your bike. No exceptions. Not wearing a helmet can lead to a disqualification before you even line up on the start line!
RESPECT NOISE REGULATIONS
Loud bikes jeopardize our riding opportunities. Make sure your bike complies with local noise rules. Quiet bikes mean more trails and events for everyone.
WORK WITH PROMOTERS
The OMRA partners with promoters to ensure safe and fair events. If you have questions, concerns, or issues, your first stop should be the event promoter. They have the authority to address safety concerns, enforce rules, and manage disputes.
HAVE FUN
Above all, remember why we ride: for the love of the sport. Let’s keep it fun and enjoyable for everyone.
